Step into a modernist home on Dallas’ Kessler Woods Trail that includes a sculpture room

The neighborhood of Kessler Woods is defined by its commitment to modernism, and this home is a clear example of that effort.

The listing at 819 Kessler Woods Trail was designed by architect Jesse Rodriguez and built by Frank Posada.

Listing agent Micahel Reynolds of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s said Posada is a meticulous builder, as evidenced by the house’s many luxurious features.

“The good thing about this construction is the builder is very detailed, and he’s very, very focused on quality,” he said. “He takes a lot of pride in his work. He doesn’t just slap things together. It’s all high-quality craftsmanship.”

The home includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two half-baths. One of its most impressive features is a gallery or sculpture room in place of a traditional foyer, said Reynolds, who has listed the house in partnership with his Briggs Freeman colleague, Pogir.

Past the sculpture room, which conceals its own half-bathroom behind a paneled wall, the rest of the home unveils itself. The kitchen, living and dining spaces — all boasting notes of white oak flooring, limestone touches, marble counters and Miele appliances — flow freely from one to the next.

From the living space, large windows offer a glimpse onto a Trex pool deck with an outdoor fireplace.

Reynolds said one bedroom and one bathroom are downstairs. The three remaining bedrooms, including the master suite surround a flex space that might be used as a game room or entertainment or entertainment area

The master suite, Reynolds said, extends out past the exterior wall below it, creating unobstructed views of the neighborhood and surrounding woods.

The master ensuite, like the kitchen below it, is built with limestone flooring and marble counters. But, what stands out about the space is its soaking tub and high-tech walk-in shower. The latter is controlled by an electronic Kohler DTS system.

“You can program it for water temperature; you can program it for what faucet you want it to come out of,” Reynolds said. “You can program it for when to turn it on, that kind of thing.”

The public is invited to view the property at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s experiential open house on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. The event will feature a performance by pianist Seth Simmons, who plays while Rolando Diaz creates an oil painting.

The 4,905 square-foot house sits on 0.31 acres and is listed at $1,850,000.
